A personal branding project that translates my values and design approach into a cohesive visual system. Built to feel clear, structured, and consistent across both print and professional materials.

This personal branding project includes a brand book along with a set of branded materials, including a business card, letterhead, invoice, and resume. The goal was to create a cohesive identity system that reflects my work as a designer while maintaining clarity, structure, and consistency across all touchpoints. The brand book establishes the foundation, while each application demonstrates how the identity translates into real-world use.
The challenge was to create a personal brand that feels professional, reliable, and structured while still being approachable and visually engaging. I wanted to avoid a design that felt overly corporate or generic, while still communicating trust and clarity. Another key challenge was ensuring that the brand could scale across multiple formats, from print materials to professional documents, without losing consistency or purpose.
The visual identity is built on a foundation of clean typography, structured layouts, and a carefully selected color palette. The color system combines soft neutrals with deeper tones and subtle highlights to create both stability and approachability. Typography uses a combination of Neulis Neue, Neulis Sans, and Inter to establish hierarchy while maintaining readability and consistency. Design elements such as thin line dividers, rounded corners, and the hummingbird icon reinforce the brand’s balance of structure and warmth across all materials.
The identity system is applied across a range of materials, including a business card, letterhead, invoice, and resume. Each piece is designed with a specific function in mind while maintaining a consistent visual language. For example, the resume emphasizes readability and hierarchy, the invoice focuses on clarity and organization, and the letterhead and business card reinforce professionalism and brand recognition. Together, these applications demonstrate how the brand system adapts across different formats while remaining cohesive.
The final result is a cohesive personal brand system that clearly communicates professionalism, structure, and reliability. Each component works together to create a consistent experience, while still being tailored to its specific purpose. The brand successfully translates from concept to application, showing how a defined identity can guide design decisions across multiple touchpoints.
This project strengthened my ability to think in terms of systems rather than individual designs. I learned how to build a brand from the foundation up, starting with strategy and translating it into consistent visual applications. It also reinforced the importance of small details, such as spacing, alignment, and hierarchy, in creating a polished and unified final result.
