The Cache 42 Downtown Express website was designed for a Caribbean-inspired restaurant in downtown Memphis. My goal was to create a bold, visually engaging site that reflects the restaurant’s atmosphere while keeping information clear and easy to navigate.

I designed a multi-page restaurant website for Cache 42 Downtown Express, a Caribbean-inspired restaurant located in downtown Memphis. This was a freelance project where I worked directly with the owner to create a digital experience that felt upscale, vibrant, and reflective of the restaurant’s atmosphere. The goal was to translate the energy of the space and food into a visually engaging and easy-to-navigate website.
The restaurant did not have a website in place, only a logo and an established in-person vibe. They needed a design that would clearly showcase their menu, events, and overall experience while translating that energy into a digital space. The challenge was creating something that balanced elegance and vibrancy while still being easy for users to navigate.

The final design delivers a bold and cohesive digital presence that reflects the restaurant’s identity and atmosphere. Each page works together to create a consistent experience, from showcasing the menu to promoting events and encouraging reservations. The design not only highlights the food and environment but also helps position the restaurant as a vibrant destination in downtown Memphis.
This project strengthened my ability to design for a real client with specific expectations and a clear vision. I learned how to balance creative direction with client feedback while maintaining a cohesive design system. It also reinforced the importance of designing for both aesthetics and usability, especially for a business that relies on strong visual appeal.
